Athletics is a huge part of San Jose State University. Our athletes are the ones that represent us across the United States as they travel for their competitions, but who takes care of those athletes when they are hurt?
We athletic trainers and the athletic training students are the ones behind the scenes taking care of SJSU athletes to make sure all of our athletic programs are healthy and fully functioning programs. We are the ones there for the athletes when they need water, when they're sore, when they're rehabbing, or when they just need a shoulder to cry on when they aren’t having the best of days.
Now, the athletic training students on campus are in need of support so we can attend the annual Far West Athletic Training Association Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada. We want to go to this conference in order to enhance our skills, expand our knowledge, learn new techniques to better help our SJSU athletes, as well as make ourselves more marketable for when we apply for jobs in the athletic training field. Furthermore, we want to network and publicize our SJSU program. We want the United States to know that SJSU has an athletic training program that rocks!
